Bong Joon-ho's "Parasite" takes home 4 Academy Awards
The awards include: Best Original Screenplay, Best International Feature Film, Best Director, and too top it off, Best Picture. With each win, Joon-ho made history. His South Korean film "Parasite" was the first too won for Best Original Screenplay, his win for Best International Film was the first under the new name (previously titled "Best Foreign Film), and finally on Sunday night he became the first director from South Korea to win Best Director. He ended the night by fabulously exclaiming “I also thank everyone who allowed me to actualize my vision, ... Yeah, I’m ready to drink tonight … until next morning.” He was a true winner that night, and dazzled like one.
