Reflection Post

Over the course of this semester I have learned a ton of new things about social media, and about how I want to better present myself online,and how I actually enjoy writing blog posts.

When I started this semester I really didn't think much about the way I presented myself on the internet. I would post what I wanted to and retweet what I thought was funny no matter how inappropriate or rude a post or tweet would be. I also didn't know what to do in terms of blogs or personal websites.

The very first assignment was to create a personal website that would help us throughout the semester. I learned the importance of having a personal website to use as a reference or a way to show off previous work you've done to future employers. I also liked learning about how to write really compelling blog posts about current events that are relevant to my life and the lives of my peers.

The biggest challenge for me was becoming hootsuite social media certified. It took a long time to learn all the material and understand how to use the website. I think for a business owner or for someone running a business social media it is important to know how to use hootsuite, but I had a hard time relating to the material. The test also took a long time to complete.
